Does TurboTax Offer a Military Discount?

Yes! TurboTax does offer a discount to help military members file their 2020 federal and state taxes. The discount is free with the TurboTax Military Discount offer. The discount is applied when you file.

Who Qualifies for the Discount?

All active duty military members, National Guard members, and Reserve members are eligible for the free TurboTax discount. This discount depends somewhat on rank, as the offer is not valid for officers. Veterans and retirees also do not qualify for the discount at this time.

How do I Qualify?

Military members who qualify for the TurboTax discount simply need to begin filling out their taxes and enter their military W-2 when prompted. They will need to verify their rank online, and the discount will be applied when the taxes are filed.

Additional Discount Details and Restrictions

The TurboTax Military Discount is valid on any TurboTax Online products, including the Free Edition, Deluxe, Premier, and Self-Employed editions. However, the discount is not included on TurboTax Live products or TurboTax Desktop products. Additionally, the discount does not apply to bundles like PLUS or MAX.
